Pippit Carlington, known as Giftbearer on Etsy, has been selling on Etsy.com since September 2005. She works in several artistic mediums including acrylics and watercolor, clay sculpture, and jewelry. I first noticed her intricately woven seed-bead rainstick necklaces on Etsy last year, but her store has since expanded to include beautiful handmade fine silver and gemstone rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, most of which are inspired by nature. I just listed these candy-colored cat's eye cluster earrings in my shop. They're so brilliant and delicious for spring. I think they look like candy I would buy at Mr. Bulky's, only these are for wearing and not for eating!

Spirals and Coils

I just made this bracelet and earrings today and posted them. I'm not sure what inspired it except that I had some blue wire and wanted to figure out what to do with it. I made lots and lots of little coil beads and strung them together with cobalt and aqua beads, and there you have it! It took longer to make the coils than I thought it would, but once I got the hang of it, they were a lot of fun. I even took off the little silver coil that were on my store-bought earwires and added my own tiny blue coils.

I dig these earrings. There's just something clean and rhythmic about them that's very satisfying to my brain's left hemisphere. They're super-lightweight and have a lot of movement too.

The blue ones were the first I made. They kind of make me feel like I was a teenager in the 60s and had a mid-life crisis in the 80s. They're very cool and simplistic while still being funky. These are currently listed in my store.

The red and green ones have a completely different feel to them. They remind me of leaves. The green is fresh and new for spring, and the red is fiery hot for summer. The red and green ones are made with Austrian crystal, whereas the blue ones are made with Czech glass. The green ones are a fresh lime color with a color-changing crystal in the middle. It shows up strange with my camera flash, but it turns from silver-gray in sunlight to pink or mint indoors depending on the spectrum of your lighting. I could go into the nerdy, scientific details of optics but I'll just let you look at them innocently and think "Ooh, purdy."

The red ones have a shimmery copper-colored crystal in the middle. I'm rambling, so I'll just let you look at the red ones and admire them. We humans are attracted to shiny things, and these are definitely shiny.

I'll be listing the green and red ones in my store sometime this week so keep an eye out for them, or you can leave me a message if you're lusting over them right this second and I can list them for you ASAP.

This is my very first post, and I already managed to accidentally delete it before submitting it! Note to self: "Back" button is evil.

Introductions are always awkward, so I'm going to make this short and sweet. I'm using this blog to promote my jewelry and craft shop. I make some fun, funky, awesome, and definitely affordable jewelry and other random beaded goodness.
